FACTS:
Rainforest covers 8% of the earth’s surface but houses over 50% of all species.
Around 2000 trees are cut every minute for timber and agriculture, including palm oil found in almost all of our cookies and snacks.
About 70% of the plants identified by the U.S. National Cancer Institute which can be used in the treatment of cancer are found only in rainforests.
